Magician and comedian David Moreland, of Ithaca, entertained us on July 8th with a great show. For more pictures, see the Canandaigua newspaper, the Daily Messenger, from Monday, July 14th. July 15th marked the date of our wildly successful Butterfly Release Party. Lindsay Kuhn of Smoke Ridge Farms, Bloomfield, led the program. Luckily, we had exactly enough butterflies to go around! Just anouther part of our "Catch the Reading Bug" Summer Reading Program. At one point, Library Clerk Christina Ingalls even had a butterfly fly up the leg of her capri shorts!
On July 1st, 2008 we hosted a Balloon Twisting Workshop lead by "The Big Guy," from Binghampton, NY. About 40 people attended our event. It was a wild and crazy time.
