Mardi Gras concert featuring Ebb Tide

Mardi Gras at the Library! On Fat Tuesday (Feb. 5, 2008) we had a concert featuring Ebb Tide, a local band from Rochester. They played 2 hours of classic rock with a Caribbean twist for a crowd of about 60. Of course, we handed out purple, green and gold beads but, we did not require anyone to show us their breasts! :)

Easter Egg Hunt

On Thursday, March 20, 2008 we held our annual Easter Egg hunt for preschoolers and toddlers. About 30 kids came and found over 100 eggs hidden in the Childrens' section of the Library. Luckily, the Easter bunny knew that the Red Jacket Community Library is at 7 Lehigh Ave., Shortsville.

Drumcliffe School of Irish Dance

A group of 16 dancers from the Rochester Drumcliffe School of Irish Dance performed at the Library on March 13, 2008. The program was held in the foyer of the Library so that we could here the clogging. A great time was had by approximately 60 community members of all ages who attended the event.

Busy Bodies with Mother Goose

On February 28, 2008 we had a wonderful program for toddlers and preschoolers. Joanne 'Mother Goose" Yacovella, from Utica, joined us and led a very well attended program.
